James Christopherson joined MMA in 2000 and brings diverse experiences in design and building construction expertise spanning over 25 years. Among those are several years in the design of large-scale medical facilities, assisted care communities, and nursing homes. James has also practiced as an independent architectural designer and visual communications consultant for several years. He has designed private residences, condominiums, banks, libraries, and office buildings; additionally, he has produced significant illustrations for many of the Boston area’s most respected architecture firms.

As a project designer at MMA, James is involved in all phases of the design and building process, with particular expertise and focus on the firm’s visual communication needs, such as developing both computer-generated imagery and traditional hand-drawn and watercolor artist’s renderings.
